Buckets & Borders in partnership with Kineepik Metis Local and Pinehouse Business North (PBN) are proud to present The Pinehouse Project.
MINAHIK WASKAHIGANIK (Pinehouse Lake) is located Approximately 500 KM’s North of Saskatoon, SK. In fall 2023, members of the Buckets & Borders team visited Pinehouse Lake to meet the community, run some youth programming, and start developing the blueprint for a 2024 project.
In collaboration with PBN, a local artist and a youth committee, the Pinehouse Project was born. The project includes a full court build from start to finish, in the heart of the Pinehouse Lake community, just steps away from the lake.
The Buckets & Borders team will be completing the court build and documentary in Mid August, followed by a grand opening celebration and 3x3 tournament being hosted on August 9th & 10th.
