East Vancouver

Buckets & Borders teamed up with the students of Britannia Secondary School and Vancouver based non-profit Girls Who Leap to breathe new life into their community courts.

Two refurbished basketball courts with a brand new design will stand as a tribute to the legacy and spirit of Vancouver Hoops.  A core youth group of approximately 15 contributed to the design and completion of the court, with the centre “Coast Salish Eye” being designed by Pam Baker.

Excellence is a Tradition

Thank you to the many incredible partners for their commitment to this project and the growth of the game in East Van.

This project was led by youth, but built for generations.

Being a Bruin means something. It means being part of a community that lifts you up. It means pride in your roots. It means you carry the spirit of bravery, responsibility, integrity, and tenacity wherever you go. This place, for all its quirks, gave us so much—and  we know that we can always come back. Brit will always be home.
